Pete’s Dad

Pete’s Dad is a promo single for Porno For Pyros.  Originally released in 1993 by Warner Brothers, a second remixed version released in 1995.  This song was originally rumored to be included on the second Porno For Pyros album, then tentatively titled Hard Charger.  The song itself is a celebratory song about guitarist Peter DiStefano’s father Vito being told his cancer had gone into remission.

Alternate Versions:

The original 1993 version of this promo is the rarest version and includes the original mix of the title track.  It comes with standard Warner Brothers promotional packaging.

The 1995 versions include a remixed version of the title track.  The CD version comes with only the one track and comes in standard Warner Brothers promotional packaging.

The cassette version of the 1995 promo comes with a brown cassette sleeve that features a photo of Vito DiStefano on the cover, the photo is signed by Perry Farrell, Peter DiStefano and Steve Perkins.  The inside of the cassette sleeve has a promo photo of the three members of Porno For Pyros.  Side one of the cassette has the remixed version of the title track.  Side two of the cassette is titled A Taste Of The Urge, which is a collection of snippets from each of the songs that appear on the Good God’s Urge album.
