Blood Rag

Blood Rag is a Porno For Pyros song that was originally known as a Jane’s Addiction song titled Bloody Rag. The song was written by Steve Perkins and Perry Farrell in late 1988 or early 1989. Steve explained that the songs is based on a drum beat he created as a kid that evolved into a jam Steve and Perry did during sound checks. It was performed live in early to mid 1989 by Jane’s Addiction as a jam during the song Pigs In Zen. It was later recorded and released on Porno For Pyros’ debut album.
