Duff McKagan, who joined Jane’s Addiction six months ago, has left the band apparently to focus on his band Loaded. Yesterday, Perry posted the following on Twitter:
Jane’s wishes Duff much luck with his band Loaded. What a fun time we all had working together. Look out for his record and tour this fall.
The following is from NME:
Duff McKagan has left Jane’s Addiction after spending six months as part of the band.
The departure of the bassist, who was in Guns N’ Roses from 1985 to 1998, was announced via an email from the band to fans, reports ABC News.
“We wanted to thank Duff for helping us write songs for our new record,” the band wrote. “We love the songs we worked on with him – and the gigs were a blast – but musically we were all headed in different directions. From here Duff is off to work on his own stuff so we wish him gabapentin all the best.”
McKagan had worked on Jane’s Addiction’s forthcoming new album, which will be their first in seven years, and had played some shows with them.
McKagan joined the set-up when he replaced Eric Avery, who left Jane’s Addiction last March.
