Dave’s good friend Todd Newman has done a documentary about Dave and the murder of his mother. There is a very powerful trailer online for it now at: http://mourningsonthefilm.com/
No word yet on when the complete film will be out, or how it will be available. I’ll post when I know more.
The following clip was posted at janesaddiction.com earlier today. The clip directed by Todd Newman, features live footage from the band’s recent trip to South America. In between the live footage are shots of the band working in the studio on the tentatively titled disc The Great Escape Artist. One thing that really caught my attention as I watched the clip was the history of the mixing desk the band appears to be using. I don’t want to give it away but you can watch the clip and see for yourself.
Here’s a peek at Jane’s Addiction in the studio hard at work on the recently released track End To The Lies.
Jane’s Addiction have been busy writing new music this spring and late last month they entered the studio to begin recording. While we’re still a ways off from hearing the new music we can at least have a peek at the process.

There have been tweets and facebook posting keeping us up to date on the writing process since Jane’s Addiction began work on new material earlier this year. Dave mentioned on his Dark Matter show last night that the band were in the studio yesterday working on pre-production and that no tape rolled. Today however Dave tweeted the following:
