Jane’s Addiction cancelled their two Pennsylvania shows this past weekend due to an undisclosed “physical injury”. No word on whom is injured, or what the injury is. Obviously we wish whomever it is a speedy recovery.

The lineups of two of the three South American Lollapalooza ’23 shows have been released. Jane’s Addiction will be playing Lollapalooza Argentina on Saturday, March 18, and Lollapalooza Brasil one week later on Saturday, March 25.

Update 10/26: Jane’s Addiction will be performing on the final night of Lollapalooza Chile ’23, on Sunday, March 19.

Jane’s Addiction are scheduled to take part in the 2023 editions of Lollapalooza Chile, Lollapalooza Argentina, and Lollapalooza Brasil. Both the Chile and Argentina events take place on March 17-19, 2023. Lollapalooza Brasil takes place March 24-26, 2023. It is presently unknown which night’s they are performing, nor who which members will be there. We’ll likely know the specific dates in the next few weeks.

Jane’s Addiction to tour without Dave Navarro

According to Rolling Stone, Dave Navarro will not (at least initially) be part of this fall’s Jane’s Addiction tour with Smashing Pumpkins due to his ongoing battle with Long-COVID. He’ll be replaced by Queens of the Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen. This will be Jane’s first shows without Dave since he joined the band 37 years ago. The RS article is a good read, I recommend checking it out. It also confirms that Eric Avery will be part of the tour, which will be his first shows with the band since 2010.

This photo, originally posted by Etty Lau Farrell on Instagram, and later shared by Eric Avery on IG and Facebook, shows Eric, Perry and Steve Perkins in the studio together. This would be the first time Perry and Eric have worked on new music together since their ill-fated attempt after the 2009 NIN/JA tour.

This comes literally days after Perry revealed that he’s been in the studio with Peter DiStefano, working on new music for Porno For Pyros.

Porno For Pyros to fill in for Jane’s Addiction at Lollapalooza

It has been announced that Porno For Pyros will replace Jane’s Addiction at the 2022 Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, IL on July 31. It is expected that original P4P bassist Martyn LeNoble will be performing with the band at the show as he was confirmed for the July 30 after show event.

Porno For Pyros to play The Belasco on July 7 (Updated)

Porno For Pyros will be playing a Kind Heaven After Dark show at The Belasco in Downtown Los Angeles on July 7, 2022. From the advertisement posted by Perry’s wife Etty Lau Farrell via Facebook, it sounds like Perry will be pulling double-duty that night, as Perry Farrell’s Kind Heaven Orchestra are slated as a featuring act.

Update: Martyn LeNoble will be returning to bass duties for this show. This will be his first performance with the band since a private show in 2009, and his first public show with the band since 1997.

Porno For Pyros to play Lollapalooza Aftershow Gig

Porno For Pyros will be playing at Metro in Chicago, IL on July 30 for an official Lollapalooza 2022 after show gig. Crawlers will be opening. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 3rd at 10am CDT.

Porno For Pyros (yes P4P, that’s not a typo), will be playing their first public concert in over twenty years this Sunday in Daytona, FL, co-headlining the final night of the Rockville Festival, along with Nine Inch Nails and Smashing Pumpkins. Jane’s Addiction was originally scheduled for this show, but Perry and co. had to pivot after Dave Navarro reportedly contacted COVID.

Jane’s Addiction will be joining Smashing Pumpkins for the “Spirits on Fire” tour this October and November, with Poppy opening on most dates.
