Dave Navarro has posted five Q/A responses over at his website 6767.com. Two of the things he addressed was the opportunity he had to join Guns ‘N Roses back after Jane’s Addiction broke up, the common question about renaming the band now that Eric Avery has re-departed, and him doing another solo album.

Tonight on his Dark Matter show Dave Navarro confirmed what’s been the worst kept secret. Duff McKagan is now a member of Jane’s Addiction. Duff is taking over on bass for the recently departed Eric Avery.
I know it’s not news but I’d like to welcome Duff to the fold. I wish him every success as he and the band continue to work on new music. I’d also like to take a moment to wish Eric the best. I know there are fans out there that are bummed about Eric leaving but as I told Dave on his show I’m an optimist. The way things worked out we not only have new Jane’s music to look forward to but I imagine Eric will be putting out some new music as well.
I have no idea when it will happen but Dave usually puts a podcast of his Dark Matter show up on his site. So if you missed tonight’s show keep an eye out over at Dave’s site for the podcast. http://6767.com/
Removing any last hopes and doubts about his future with Jane’s Addiction, Eric Avery posted the following on his facebook and twitter accounts minutes ago:
thats it. with equal parts regret and relief, the janes addiction experiment is at an end.
Perry will be at the Mirage in Las Vegas on April 11th to celebrate his 50th birthday. Perry will have a who’s who of current and former band mates as well as several friends to help him mark the occasion.

A lot of people have been surprised, even disappointed in the high prices tickets for the NIN/JA tour have been going for. Eric Avery made a post on his blog over the weekend addressing it, referencing a post Trent Reznor made on the official NIN message board.
we in janes have made several phone calls, both individually and collectively, trying to find out why nin/ja ticket prices have wound up so much higher than the agreed upon price. it has been confusing and frustrating trying to get a straight, consistent and clear answer. a few weeks ago, trent told me about a ticket reselling phenomena that i hadnt understood before. i didnt understand at the time just how insidious this system is until ive had to watch it play out in real time. he wrote a really good concise and understandable explanation here. its a good read. have coffee first.

Eric Avery wrote out a blog over on janesaddiction.com that essentially outlines what to expect from Jane’s over the coming months, and what the big picture is they are trying to accomplish. Quick and dirty summary: Lollapalooza 2009, Jane’s Addiction and Nine Inch Nails. If all goes well, we might see some new Jane’s material in the future, with Trent and his guys on board to helm the production angle. Exciting times. As always, when I get some solid show dates, I’ll post them.
